About The Position

Tru Vue Inc. is hiring Summer 2027 interns for a 12-week program running from May through August. Positions are available in Cincinnati, Ohio; Faribault, Minnesota; and Louisville, Kentucky. The internship offers hands-on project experience, professional development, mentoring, and exposure to manufacturing operations. Interns work with procurement, planning, logistics, production, engineering, and other teams, with significant time spent on the manufacturing floor. The structured program includes project-based skill development, coaching and feedback, leadership activities and presentations, events with leadership, exposure to other Apogee locations and business units, and projects and activities with fellow interns.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Sophomore, junior, or senior standing at the time of the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and spending time on the production floor.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside procurement, planning, logistics, and production teams on projects.
• Support the planning, coordination, purchase, and movement of materials.
• Assist with purchase orders.
• Communicate with suppliers about pricing and delivery dates.
• Help identify cost savings and reliable suppliers.
• Assist with purchasing and supplier communication.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
