2027 Summer Intern Process Sciences – Upstream Biomanufacturing Support (IOPS)

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals•Rensselaer, IN
•$18 - $26•Onsite

About The Position

Regeneron is seeking multiple 2027 interns for its Upstream Biomanufacturing teams in the IOPS Process Sciences department. The group develops and runs manufacturing-scale processes used to grow and purify Regeneron’s commercial biologic products. Interns will contribute to projects supporting cell culture processes and process improvement at the Rensselaer / East Greenbush, New York location. The internship is full-time and onsite from May/June through August. The hourly pay range is $17.90–$25.50, with the rate determined by education level and degree program. Projects may include running cell culture experiments using shake flasks, wave bags, or benchtop single-use bioreactors; comparing small- and large-scale performance using in-line sensors and process models; studying how cell culture parameters affect product quality; developing assays such as qPCR to measure host cell proteins; using analytical instruments such as liquid handlers and LC-MS; or analyzing process data with coding and statistical tools to create visualizations and reports. Basic laboratory skills such as pipetting, aseptic technique, and data recording are helpful, and some projects use tools such as JMP, Python, or MATLAB. Applicants must be enrolled in or accepted to an undergraduate or graduate academic program and must be returning to school in the semester following the position or graduating after the position. Relevant majors include Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Statistics/Data Science. Leadership experience and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher are preferred. Regeneron describes its workplace as inclusive and an equal opportunity employer. Depending on country and role, its total rewards package may include bonuses or incentive plans, equity awards, retirement benefits, health and wellness programs, insurance, paid time off, and family support benefits.
