About The Position

Allegion is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to join their Fabrication department for the summer of 2027. This role involves developing and maintaining processes for equipment in the fabrication department. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment and have prior experience in manufacturing. This internship offers meaningful work, learning opportunities, professional development, and the chance to build strong relationships. This position requires onsite work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Working towards obtaining associate or bachelor degree
  • Training and experience with technical process, machining, stamping, and fabrication preferred
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • Ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete duties within specified times (training provided if needed)
  • Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
  • Company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing new processes to the plant
  • Problem-solve machining and stamping issues
  • Program CNC machines using G-Code and Conversational
  • Support rebuilds of old equipment to like-new condition
  • Identify critical spare parts and partner with maintenance to improve process reliability
  • Support shop floor layout with AutoCAD or equivalent
  • Collaborate with other plant employees and work in a team environment
  • Keep abreast of latest technology and recommend new processes improvements
  • Effectively communicate in a professional, positive manner, with all levels of the organization
  • Develop work instructions and standard work to support the shop floor
