About The Position

Allegion is looking for a Process Engineering Intern to join us in our Fabrication department for the summer of 2027! This intern will be responsible for developing and maintaining processes for equipment in our fabrication department. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment, this is the role for you. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in manufacturing. Due to the nature of this role, please keep in mind this position will require onsite work. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Training and experience in multi-axis robots, robot maintenance, robotic programming, and PLC Ladder Logic programming required.

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards Robotics Technology degree or Computer Integrated Manufacturing degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of motor controllers preferred.
  • Working knowledge of proper use of abrasive products preferred.
  • Ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete duties within specified times

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Implementing new processes to the plant
  • Problem-solve machining and stamping issues
  • Program CNC machines using G-Code and Conversational
  • Support rebuilds of old equipment to like-new condition
  • Identify critical spare parts and partner with maintenance to improve process reliability
  • Support shop floor layout with AutoCAD or equivalent
  • Collaborate with other plant employees and work in a team environment
  • Keep abreast of latest technology and recommend new processes improvements
  • Effectively communicate in a professional, positive manner, with all levels of the organization
  • Develop work instructions and standard work to support the shop floor
