About The Position

AIG is seeking a Summer Intern for the Human Resources department to play a part in transforming how customers manage risk, with opportunities to learn and grow skills and experience as a valued member of the team. The Human Resources department is critical in supporting AIG's people and business strategy by attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talent. The HR team partners with business leaders and employees to deliver people-focused solutions that strengthen organizational performance, enhance the employee experience, and support AIG’s evolving business needs. As an HR Intern, you will gain exposure to programs, processes, and initiatives supporting AIG’s global workforce, with opportunities in HR Business Partners, Compensation, and Talent & Performance Management. Interns will support business and workforce priorities, compensation programs and analysis, or initiatives focused on talent development and performance. Working alongside HR professionals and business partners, interns will contribute to meaningful projects, collaborate across teams, and use data and insights to inform decisions and support a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be received no later than June 2028 (unofficial transcript required upon application).
  • Available for the complete Summer Internship Program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.
  • Summer Intern positions are in-person opportunities, requiring interns to work in the office at least four days per week.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information.
  • Foundational knowledge of, or demonstrated interest in, HR practices, policies, and employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Interest in using workforce data and insights to support people and business decisions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an interest in learning HR information systems and talent management technologies.
  • Demonstrated interest in areas such as HR Business Partnering, Compensation, or Talent & Performance Management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of HR programs, processes, and initiatives across areas such as HR Business Partnering, Compensation, and Talent & Performance Management.
  • Partner with HR colleagues and business stakeholders to support the execution of people priorities across respective client groups and deliver effective HR solutions.
  • Analyze workforce and HR data to identify insights, support decision-making, and contribute to program effectiveness.
  • Assist with key HR activities, which may include compensation programs, talent and performance initiatives, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Contribute to HR projects and cross-functional workstreams that support business and organizational priorities.
  • Support compliance with Company policies, programs, and procedures while helping ensure consistent HR practices across the organization.
  • Build knowledge of HR practices and AIG’s business while developing analytical, project management, communication, and relationship-management skills.
