About The Position
Stryten Energy is seeking a Summer Intern focused on Continuous Improvement for its Salina facility. This paid internship, running from May 2027 to August 2027, involves working 40 hours a week. The intern will gain experience in lean manufacturing concepts and contribute to process improvements within the transportation battery division. The role requires the intern to have their own housing and transportation, as these are not provided. The environment is casual but professional, offering exposure to senior leaders and opportunities to contribute creatively to projects.
Requirements
- Graduating between DEC 2027 and MAY 2029
- Working towards BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
- With a GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Must have housing and transportation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
Responsibilities
- Learn and understand lean concepts through training provided
- Implement 5S techniques throughout the plant (Production/ labs, etc)
- Implement lean principles and identify lean wastes/potential opportunities in various production areas and provide possible solutions
- If needed, train employees for lean (Guidance and training will be provided for the same)
- Performing time studies
- Design using CAD for necessary improvements suggested (If required)
- Participate in Kaizen/SMED event
