About The Position

Stryten Energy builds batteries that power your world, from cars and trucks to forklifts, railways, and UPS systems. Our Salina facility, located at 413 E Berg Road, is part of the transportation division. This paid internship opportunity is for Summer 2027, running from May to August, with a 40-hour work week. Please note that housing and transportation are not provided, so candidates must have their own. We encourage interns to actively participate, challenge us, and provide creative solutions. Our casual yet professional environment offers exposure to senior-level leaders.

Requirements

• Graduating between DEC 2027 and MAY 2029
• Working towards BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
• With a GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Must have housing and transportation
• Required to work on-site daily
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand lean concepts through training provided
• Implement 5S techniques throughout the plant (Production/ labs, etc)
• Implement lean principles and identify lean wastes/potential opportunities in various production areas and provide possible solutions
• Train employees for lean (Guidance and training will be provided for the same)
• Performing time studies
• Design using CAD for necessary improvements suggested (If required)
• Participate in Kaizen/SMED event
