Summer Intern - Architecture
About The Position
SOM’s Summer Internship Program is for students planning careers in architecture, structural and sustainable engineering, urban planning, graphic design, or interior design. Interns spend the summer learning from experts across SOM’s design disciplines, developing design and visualization skills, and contributing to design projects. The program includes a range of in-person and virtual learning opportunities and events. The internship runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. Applicants must be returning to school in Fall 2027, and work samples are required for application review. The application deadline is January 18, 2027. Compensation typically ranges from $25 to $27 per hour and is based on experience, qualifications, location, and education.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in architecture or a related field of study, and returning to school in Fall 2027.
- Some experience in the architectural profession or associated arts.
- Strong design capabilities demonstrated in a portfolio or work samples.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and visualization software.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Submit work samples to be considered.
