About The Position

The Summer Intern - Architecture role is part of SOM’s Summer Internship Program, which is open to students planning careers in architecture and related design disciplines. Interns learn from experts across the firm’s design disciplines, develop design and visualization skills, and contribute to design projects. The program includes in-person and virtual learning opportunities and events. The internship runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. Applicants must be returning to school in Fall 2027 and must submit work samples to be considered. The application deadline is January 18, 2027. Compensation typically ranges from $25 to $27 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, location, and education.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in architecture or a related field of study, and returning to school in Fall 2027.
• Some experience in the architectural profession or associated arts.
• Strong design capabilities demonstrated in a portfolio or work samples.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and visualization software.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Submit work samples with the application.
