Summer Intern - Architecture
About The Position
SOM’s Summer Internship Program is for students planning careers in architecture, structural and sustainable engineering, urban planning, graphic design, or interior design. Interns learn from experts across SOM’s design disciplines, build design and visualization skills, and contribute to design projects. The program includes in-person and virtual learning opportunities and events. The internship runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. Applicants must be returning to school in Fall 2027, and work samples are required for application review. The application deadline is January 18, 2027. Compensation typically ranges from $25 to $27 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, location, and education.
Requirements
- Be a current student in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in architecture or a related field of study.
- Return to school in Fall 2027.
- Have some experience in the architectural profession or associated arts.
- Demonstrate strong design capabilities through a portfolio or work samples.
- Be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and visualization software.
- Be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Submit work samples; applications without them will not be reviewed.
