About The Position

Regeneron is seeking multiple 2027 interns for its AI/ML and Data Engineering teams. The teams develop AI tools, data pipelines, and machine learning systems to support medicine development and reduce manual work. Interns contribute to real systems and work with scientists and business teams to understand problems, with an emphasis on responsible and well-governed AI use. Projects may involve AI agents and LLM-powered applications, natural language processing, data pipelines and semantic data models, evaluating and validating AI tools and models, and workflow automation using AI-assisted coding tools. Hands-on software and data engineering work is expected. Positions are full-time from May or June through August and are based in Tarrytown, Warren, Armonk, Cambridge, or Sleepy Hollow; most are onsite, while some are hybrid. Hourly pay ranges from $17.90 to $50.90, depending on education level, degree program, role, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in or accepted to an academic program pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, and return to school in the semester following the position or graduate after the position.
• Python, SQL, and software engineering fundamentals are typically expected.
• Familiarity with LLM prompting or machine learning packages is typically expected.

• Demonstrated leadership through campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or community involvement.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Relevant majors include Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Information Technology, Mathematics, and Biomedical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and test AI solutions for use in real systems.

• Mine text using natural language processing.
• Build and modernize data pipelines and semantic data models.
• Evaluate and validate AI tools and models.
• Automate routine workflows with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Work with scientists and business teams to understand problems.
