About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting in various operational and maintenance tasks within the facility, with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental compliance. The Summer Helper will support hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, perform inspections, assist with preventive maintenance, and contribute to the upkeep of the facility. This position requires the ability to work in demanding physical conditions and a variety of environmental settings.

Workers must be able to wear proper PPE (thermal protective clothing, respirators, hardhat, steel toe metatarsals, and ear plugs) and be trained for confined space (entry and attendant).
This position requires a HEAVY level of physical demand capability.
Workers frequently stand on concrete flooring.

Responsibilities

Provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Assist in managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams onsite.
Assist in daily inspections of the WWTP and baghouses.
Assist in preventive maintenance on all catch basins at the facility to maintain compliance.
Support the CMMS system.
Assist in all mainline duties.
Assist in pattern maintenance.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including sweeping, cleaning, organizing, and painting.
Provide support in VPP related items.
Adhere to Company Policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Provide seasonal maintenance around the facility such as lawn care, salting sidewalks, and snow removal.
Perform additional duties as necessary within the department.
