About The Position

This role involves performing various duties in accordance with company rules, regulations, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). The Summer Helper is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by following safety protocols and reporting hazards. Key tasks include cleaning work areas and machine centers using tools like brooms, shovels, and rakes to remove debris. The position also requires operating motorized equipment such as sweeper trucks, water trucks, skid steers, front-end loaders, and forklifts. Additionally, the role involves training as a relief operator, becoming proficient on machine centers, and filling in as needed. The employee will be expected to maintain acceptable production levels and complete special projects as assigned. Duties may vary by location.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Willing to work various shifts
  • Ability to pass a hair follicle test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Enrolled as a full-time college student for the Fall semester
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs
  • Follow safety protocols and report hazards to ensure a safe work environment
  • Use broom, shovel, rake, air hoses to clean work areas and machine centers removing sawdust, pieces of wood, and other debris
  • Use motorized equipment such as sweeper truck, water truck, skidsteer, front-end loader, forklift, etc...
  • Train as a relief operator, becoming proficient on machine centers and fill in as needed
  • Maintain acceptable production levels
  • Complete special projects as assigned
