2026 Summer Employment
About The Position
The Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for the 2026 Summer Employment Season. As in previous years, we anticipate a limited number of summer opportunities for eligible Hamilton students and dependents of Hamilton Employees. Pay for Summer Employment is based on the current Student Wage Guidelines, with hourly rates of $16.00, $16.25 and $16.50 available. Facilities Management: There are 10-12 summer vacancies available. The anticipated schedule is 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday (40 hours). A minimum of a 9-week commitment is expected from students in college and a minimum of 7-week commitment from students still in high school. The following positions are available: Carpenter Support Team, Grounds Support Team, Custodial Services Support Team and Painters Support Team. Please refer to the Facilities Management summer employment guidelines for a better understanding of the expectations and requirements for these positions. Office/Clerical: Availability for these positions is based on departmental business needs. The hours and work schedule varies based on positions.
Requirements
- Eligible Hamilton student or dependent of a Hamilton Employee.
- Minimum 9-week commitment for college students.
- Minimum 7-week commitment for high school students.
- Understanding of expectations and requirements for Facilities Management positions.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in Carpenter, Grounds, Custodial Services, or Painters teams.
- Fulfill departmental business needs in office/clerical roles.
- Adhere to summer employment guidelines and expectations.
