About The Position

This is a Graduate Assistantship position within the Occupational Therapy Department for Summer 1 2026. The selected candidate will provide support to students and faculty in specific course areas and assist the department with administrative and scholarly tasks. This role requires a strong mentorship ability and a desire to contribute to the teaching and learning process or scholarly pursuits.

Requirements

• Completed coursework in Occupational Therapy (OT, MOT, or OTD)
• Have reliable transportation to the North Haven Campus
• A strong ability to assume professional position of mentorship on behalf of OT peers.
• An expressed desire to actively partake in the teaching\learning process on behalf of student success & or the pursuit of research and other scholarly endeavors.
• A strong ability to complete faculty-assigned tasks given distant supervision in a timely fashion.
• Ability to lift up to 10lbs as necessary (moving equipment to prepare for labs).

Nice To Haves

• A demonstrated engagement in teaching\learning (ie.: tutoring) & or scholarship is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students and faculty in the area of OT Process in Adults and Older Adults (OTM/OTD 524 & 524L).
• Support students and faculty in the area of Biomechanics Lab (OTM/OTD 528L).
• Support the department with administrative duties and scholarly endeavors.
