About The Position

The Summer Education and Day Camp Activity Programmer will plan and run a day camp for children ages 6–12. The program will help prevent learning loss and build skills in literacy, numeracy, science, art, and health through fun and engaging activities. The Programmer will work with a team to develop the curriculum and will also help children build social skills, friendships, and resilience. The program will be supported by the NorWest Co-op Community Health Centre Resource Centre teams.

Requirements

  • Experience working with youth.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathetic, non-judgmental approach.
  • Knowledge and experience with diverse cultures and economic backgrounds.
  • Experience with program delivery, especially with youth programming.
  • Must be between 15-29 years of age.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Possess a valid Social Insurance Number.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma.
  • Experience in recreation or nutrition.
  • Experience or knowledge of program development and education.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
