About The Position
As a YMCA Summer Camp Volunteer, you'll do more than supervise activities—you'll help children build confidence, make new friends, discover new interests, and create memories that last a lifetime. Our camp volunteers play a vital role in creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where every child feels included, supported, and encouraged to be themselves.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to commit to the entire summer camp season.
- Passion for working with children.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm.
- Willingness to follow camp rules and guidelines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with children.
- Experience in a camp setting.
- Skills in specific activities like sports, arts, or music.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily camp activities, games, crafts, and special events
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive behavior
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for campers
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive camp experience
- Support camp staff in making each day fun and meaningful
