About The Position
NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is seeking a seasonal Summer Camp Site Director for youth baseball and softball camps across the New York Metropolitan Tristate Area. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, and passionate about inspiring youth to make good choices and be accountable, all while ensuring a fun experience. The role involves managing a team of 15+ staff, executing operational standards, ensuring a safe environment, and communicating with parents and headquarters. The position also includes pre-season responsibilities in sales, recruitment, operations, and training.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership ability with extensive management experience.
- Familiarity with the basic fundamentals of baseball.
- At least one year of experience managing a group of people.
- Experience and comfort with technology for efficient camp operations.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background and reference check process.
- Reliable transportation to travel to all sites.

Responsibilities
- Managing and motivating a team of 15+ staff members.
- Executing NY Mets Camps Operations Standards during camp weeks.
- Ensuring a safe camp environment for staff, campers, and parents.
- Encouraging staff to maintain a positive and enthusiastic mindset.
- Serving as an energetic and outgoing leader during camp-wide meetings to instill culture and expectations.
- Communicating with parents and company headquarters regarding camp issues.
- Supervising and managing staff and campers to ensure high-level camp delivery.
- Jumping into group sales, talent recruitment, operations & warehouse management, and training before the camp season.
