About The Position

NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is seeking a seasonal Summer Camp Site Director for youth baseball and softball camps across the New York Metropolitan Tristate Area. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, and passionate about inspiring youth to make good choices and be accountable, all while ensuring a fun experience. The role involves managing and motivating a team of 15+ staff, executing operational standards, ensuring a safe environment, and communicating with parents and headquarters. The director will also be involved in group sales, talent recruitment, operations, and training before the camp season. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, receive free tickets to select New York Mets home games, build leadership experience representing a global brand, and lead a camper reunion event at Citi Field.

Requirements

A nine-week commitment Monday-Friday for approximately nine hours per day.
Availability from June 15-August 21, 2026, with the option to start sooner in a remote capacity.
Polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability and extensive management experience.
Ability to pass a comprehensive background and reference check process.
Prepared to travel to all sites in Long Island and Brooklyn or Connecticut with reliable transportation.
Familiarity with the basic fundamentals of baseball.
At least one year of experience managing a group of people.
Experience and comfort with technology to ensure efficient camp operations.
Ability to attend all-staff training.

Responsibilities

Managing and motivating a team of 15+ staff members.
Executing NY Mets Camps Operations Standards during camp weeks.
Ensuring a safe camp environment for staff, campers, and parents.
Encouraging staff to bring a positive and enthusiastic mindset to each day of camp.
Serving as an energetic and outgoing leader during camp-wide meetings to instill culture and expectations for campers and coaches.
Communicating with parents and company headquarters regarding issues that may arise at camp.
Supervising and managing staff and campers, ensuring high-level camp delivery.
Jumping into group sales, talent recruitment, operations & warehouse management, and training before the camp season.
