About The Position

NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is seeking a seasonal Summer Camp Site Director for youth baseball and softball camps across the New York Metropolitan Tristate Area. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, and passionate about inspiring youth to make good choices and be accountable, all while ensuring a fun experience. The role involves managing and motivating a team of 15+ staff, executing operational standards, ensuring a safe environment, and communicating with parents and headquarters. The position also includes responsibilities in group sales, talent recruitment, operations, and warehouse management before the camp season. This is a leadership role focused on creating a positive impact and fostering a love for the game.

Requirements

  • Nine-week commitment, Monday-Friday, approximately nine hours per day.
  • Availability from June 15-August 21, 2026 (with option to start sooner remotely).
  • Polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability and extensive management experience.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background and reference check.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Familiarity with the basic fundamentals of baseball.
  • At least one year of experience managing a group of people.
  • Experience and comfort with technology for efficient camp operations.
  • Ability to attend all-staff training.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate a team of 15+ staff members.
  • Execute NY Mets Camps Operations Standards during camp weeks.
  • Ensure a safe camp environment for staff, campers, and parents.
  • Encourage staff to bring a positive and enthusiastic mindset daily.
  • Serve as an energetic and outgoing leader during camp-wide meetings to instill culture and expectations.
  • Communicate with parents and company headquarters regarding camp issues.
  • Supervise and manage staff and campers, ensuring high-level camp delivery.
  • Jump into group sales, talent recruitment, operations & warehouse management, and training before the camp season.
  • Travel to all camp sites in Long Island and Brooklyn or Connecticut.
