About The Position

NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is seeking a seasonal Summer Camp Site Director for youth baseball and softball camps across the New York Metropolitan Tristate Area. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, and passionate about inspiring youth to make good choices and be accountable, all while ensuring a fun experience. The company provides equipment, training, and curriculum, while the director is responsible for leadership, direction, and enthusiasm to foster a love for the game, new friendships, improved skills, and an appreciation for personal accountability. Site Directors manage and motivate a team of 15+ staff, execute operational standards, ensure a safe environment for staff, campers, and parents, and maintain a positive and enthusiastic mindset. The role involves leading camp-wide meetings to instill culture and expectations, and communicating with parents and company headquarters about any issues. The position also requires involvement in group sales, talent recruitment, operations, warehouse management, and training before the camp season.

Requirements

  • Make a nine-week commitment Monday-Friday for approximately nine hours per day.
  • Be available from June 15-August 21, 2026 (with the option to start sooner remotely).
  • Be a polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Have extensive management experience.
  • Be able to pass a comprehensive background and reference check process.
  • Be prepared to travel to all sites in Long Island and Brooklyn or Connecticut with reliable transportation.
  • Be familiar with the basic fundamentals of baseball.
  • Have at least one year of experience managing a group of people.
  • Have experience and comfort with technology to ensure efficient camp operations.
  • Be able to attend all-staff training.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and motivating a team of 15+ staff members.

  • Communicating with parents and company headquarters regarding issues that may arise at camp.
  • Supervising and managing staff and campers, ensuring high-level camp delivery.
  • Jumping into group sales, talent recruitment, operations & warehouse management, and training before the camp season.
