About The Position

NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is seeking a seasonal Summer Camp Site Director for youth baseball and softball camps across the New York Metropolitan Tristate Area. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, and passionate about inspiring youth to make good choices and be accountable, all while ensuring a fun experience. The role involves managing and motivating a team of 15+ staff, executing operational standards, ensuring a safe environment, and communicating with parents and headquarters. The position requires leadership, direction, and enthusiasm to foster a positive learning experience for campers, enhancing their skills and appreciation for the game and personal accountability. Before the camp season, the Site Director will also be involved in group sales, talent recruitment, operations, and warehouse management, as well as training.

Requirements

Experienced leader, self-starter, and excellent communicator.
Passionate about creating a positive impact on children, families, coaches, and the community.
Ability to provide candid feedback to team members to aid personal and professional growth.
Acutely aware of physical and emotional safety, with real-time problem-solving skills.
Able to supervise and manage staff and campers.
Familiar with the basic fundamentals of baseball.
At least one year of experience managing a group of people.
Experience and comfort with technology for efficient camp operations.
Ability to attend all-staff training.
Must make a nine-week commitment Monday-Friday for approximately nine hours per day.
Be available from June 15-August 21, 2026 (with the option to start sooner remotely).
Be a polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability and extensive management experience.
Able to pass a comprehensive background and reference check process.
Prepared to travel to all sites in Long Island, Brooklyn, or Connecticut with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Manage and motivate a team of 15+ staff members.
Execute NY Mets Camps Operations Standards during camp weeks.
Ensure a safe camp environment for staff, campers, and parents.
Encourage staff to maintain a positive and enthusiastic mindset.
Serve as an energetic and outgoing leader during camp-wide meetings to instill culture and expectations.
Communicate with parents and company headquarters regarding camp issues.
Supervise and manage staff and campers to ensure high-level camp delivery.
Jump into group sales, talent recruitment, operations & warehouse management, and training before the camp season.
