About The Position

The Little Gym of North Raleigh is seeking a dynamic team member for their Summer Camps. This role involves working within an established and unique camp curriculum, allowing for creativity, fun ideas, and positivity. Key responsibilities include handing out High 5s and generating grins and giggles. The position offers a schedule of Monday - Friday with up to 40 weekly hours, with possible shifts between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. The Little Gym is a premier enrichment and physical development center for children aged 4 months through 12 years, using movement-based learning and imaginative play to build confidence and skills. For over 40 years, trained instructors have nurtured happy, confident kids through various programs, including camps, Parents’ Survival Nights, skill clinics, and birthday parties. The company is looking for fun, outgoing, talented individuals who want to make a difference in their community.

Requirements

Love making children laugh and giggle.
Background in gymnastics, dance, sports, child development, or education.
Ability to be a born leader and inspire children and team members.
Ability to lead by example to help other team members grow.
Ability to connect well with children and their parents.
Enjoy making arts and crafts.
Ability to have fun while also getting work done.
Ability to get plenty of movement and exercise daily.
Willingness to play and engage in activities like air guitar, acting like a dinosaur, or making slime.
Take fun seriously, but also take the role played in the community and with each child seriously.
Build relationships that last a lifetime.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all aspects of summer camps, including organizing weekly curriculum, coordinating equipment and supplies, and preparing crafts and activities for each weekly theme.
Lead camps based on the company's curriculum and teaching method.
Lead and work with a dynamic team of teachers to provide an unforgettable camp experience for children ages 3-12 years old.
Provide outstanding customer service and camp experience, treating campers and their grown-ups like family.
Maintain a safe, clean, and fun environment where children can be themselves.
