About The Position

Brains and Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking experienced summer camp Instructors for their Summer Camp programs. This role involves filling in at multiple camp locations for call-offs. When not filling in, the instructor may assist fellow teachers, perform administrative tasks such as inventory management, supply delivery, printing, and other tasks to support camp operations as directed by the Program Manager. BAM! specializes in innovative STEM, Arts, and Sports enrichment programs for students ages 6 to 14, aiming to equip kids with the tools to thrive. They provide industry-leading curricula and materials for a fun and engaging camp experience.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a camp environment.
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about coaching and teaching kids.
  • Ability to work with kids in Grades TK-8.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Organized and efficient.
  • Efficient class management skills.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must possess a current, government-issued photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state ID.
  • Dependable transportation to travel to assigned program locations as needed.
  • Background check required.
  • Ability to lift and carry ~20-50 lbs. on an occasional basis with or without accommodations.
  • Must have availability July 6th to August 14th Monday-Friday for schedules between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct and manage your group of campers.
  • Utilize subject-specific expertise and existing curriculum.
  • Commit to the personal growth of each camper, ensuring a positive, enriching, fun, and safe experience.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to clearly communicate with both campers and their parents.
  • Recognize and quickly resolve any conflicts that may arise between campers.
  • Assist with equipment inventory as needed.
  • Work at multiple campsites within a given region as determined by the Program Manager.
