ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and coordinate a Summer Learning loss program integrating literacy and ELA curricula into summer camp in order to address academic achievement gaps and promote interest in learning. Provide three hours of direct instruction (plus one hour preparation time per day) 4 days per week to Campers in grades 1-7. Create a robust, hands-on and effective learning environment for campers. Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching ELA
Knowledge of youth development principles.
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
Ability to work with children and youth from a variety of backgrounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Massachusetts ELA Licensure (grades 1-7) highly preferred
