About The Position

Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring energetic, positive, and reliable Summer Camp Counselors & Coaches for our Darien, CT camp from July 20–24, 2026. This opportunity is perfect for teachers, education majors, collegiate athletes, softball and baseball players, coaches, graduate students, and college students looking to make a positive impact while working outdoors with children.

Requirements

• Experience working with children preferred
• Experience with Baseball or softball
• Coaching, teaching, tutoring, babysitting, camp, or youth program experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors and remain active throughout the day
• Reliable transportation to Darien
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage campers ages 4–13
• Lead games, activities, and skill stations
• Help create a safe and positive camp environment
• Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence
• Support daily camp operations
• Serve as a positive role model for campers
