About The Position
Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring energetic Summer Camp Coaches and Camp Counselors for our youth baseball and softball camps in Brooklyn. This is a paid seasonal position working with campers ages 4–13 in a positive, team-focused environment. This is a great opportunity to spend your summer outdoors while building leadership and coaching experience. No professional coaching experience is required—we provide the training, curriculum, and equipment.
Requirements
- Available for the required week of August 17–21
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and energetic
- Comfortable working outdoors in all summer conditions
- Positive role models for young athletes
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with children through camps, coaching, tutoring, childcare, recreation, or youth programs is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor campers ages 4–13
- Lead baseball and softball drills, games, and skill-building activities
- Help create a safe, positive, and energetic camp environment
- Encourage teamwork, confidence, sportsmanship, and personal growth
- Work alongside experienced coaches and camp leadership
- Assist with daily camp operations and camper supervision
