About The Position

The Development Internship provides exposure to all facets of the development process, including feasibility and market analysis, benchmarking, research, and underwriting. Interns will apply their analytical and communication skills while supporting both internal and external relationship management, a cornerstone of Welltower’s development strategy and industry leadership. The Development team is responsible for partnering with the Investments team to analyze development opportunities at the pre-acquisition stage, assisting in overseeing active deals through turnover, supporting the management of internal and external partnerships, benchmarking key information to compare and evaluate future deals, contributing to the underwriting of development opportunities, assisting in tracking and reviewing development budgets, helping standardize and align information provided by partners, supporting the analysis of partner performance, participating in site and land visits, as well as market assessments, assisting in the selection process for contractors and consultants, helping educate Investment team members on the development process, and developing an understanding of market supply and demand fundamentals. Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a MS or MBA program.
  • Previous internship or relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and verification of employment, education, and other credentials relevant to the position.
