About The Position

Financial Technology Partners (FT Partners) is seeking Summer Investment Banking Associates in San Francisco and New York. FT Partners is a premier investment banking firm dedicated exclusively to the financial technology sector. Headquartered in San Francisco with additional offices in NYC and London, FT Partners has advised on some of the most meaningful transactions in the high-growth Financial Technology sector. We offer a full suite of financial and strategic advisory services, including merger and acquisition advisory, private capital raising and capital markets advisory. The Financial Technology sector is a dynamic industry that encompasses the convergence of financial services and technology. We are a 200+ person global firm that prides itself on having an extremely collegial and energetic culture. Every member of the organization is expected to meaningfully contribute to the Firm’s success. Senior bankers at the Firm are formerly of Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Evercore, Qatalyst, Guggenheim and Barclays. FT Partners Summer Associates are in the office 5 days/week; however, full-time employees operate on a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days remote.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a top-tier business school, graduating by summer of 2028
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5
Proven capability to lead and manage projects effectively
Exceptional organizational, execution, and time management skills, with keen attention to detail
Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels
Excellent presentation skills, adaptable to both large and small group settings
Strategic thinker with robust analytical capabilities
Proven quantitative and technical expertise, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Entrepreneurial mindset, ready to tackle complex tasks and challenges
Demonstrates ability to effectively integrate AI-powered tools into daily workflows to increase efficiency and maximize outputs
Strong work ethic, self-discipline, and motivation

Responsibilities

Included in all aspects of a transaction from origination to closing.
Extensive financial modeling and analysis.
Company valuation.
Corporate and industry research.
Strategic analysis and recommendations.
Identification of business development opportunities.
Due diligence.
Preparation of client presentation materials.
Identification of potential corporate and financial sponsors, buyers, and investors.
Work closely with senior investment bankers, managing day-to-day deal activities and overseeing and mentoring Analysts.
