About The Position

The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2027 and ending in August 2027. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later. Potential projects: Security Testing & Validation Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of application security assessments across web applications, APIs, and emerging AI-enabled solutions. Support the use of modern security testing techniques, including Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), API security testing, and AI-assisted vulnerability discovery, while gaining hands-on experience identifying and documenting security findings. Technology Research & Innovation Evaluate emerging web, API, and AI application security testing technologies. Conduct market and capability research, analyze industry trends, and develop recommendations on tools, techniques, and processes that could enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, or coverage of the PIT program. Metrics & Program Analytics Assess the effectiveness of existing PIT metrics, dashboards, and reporting. Identify opportunities to improve measurement of testing coverage, vulnerability trends, operational efficiency, and risk reduction. Develop recommendations for new metrics and visualizations that provide actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders. Process Improvement & Automation Identify opportunities to streamline testing workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency through automation and AI-assisted processes. Collaborate with team members to document findings and develop proof-of-concept improvements where appropriate. Security Governance & Reporting Support the creation of testing documentation, presentations, research summaries, and leadership reporting. Gain exposure to the governance processes that help ensure applications and software components meet security requirements before deployment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity policies and best practices
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Experience with data analysis tools.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to address the needs of internal and external stakeholders professionally and empathetically.
