About The Position

The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2027 and ending in August 2027. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later. The Summer Associate will support business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to leadership via data modeling, dashboards, and reports. Analyze business problems and issues using business intelligence tools that incorporate data from internal and external sources. Conduct routine work assignments of limited scope and complexity and under close supervision. Entry level professional with developing skill set and a basic understanding of procedures and analysis techniques. Potential Projects Include: Report Automation and Process Streamlining – support efforts to reduce manual reporting work for recurring and ad hoc outputs. Activities may include documenting current processes, identifying automation opportunities, validating outputs, and helping convert repeatable reporting steps into more scalable Power BI, Databricks, or workflow-based solutions. BI Pipeline and Semantic Model Modernization – collaborate with BI analysts, data engineers, and other team members to help modernize data pipelines, source tables, and Power BI semantic models for AI-readiness. This may include supporting reusable data structures, improving metric consistency across dashboards, organizing fact and dimension tables, and documenting business definitions, measures, and relationships. Dashboard and Documentation Support – contribute to interactive dashboards, reporting assets, and supporting documentation such as KPI definitions, data mapping guides, process workflows, and refresh/maintenance notes to improve clarity, consistency, and handoff across Member BI projects.

  • Contribute to reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems.
  • Partner with leaders and senior staff to define specifications for reports, analysis, and AI-enabled self-service use cases based on business needs and available data elements.
  • Utilize and adhere to data governance documents and procedures; validate data, AI-assisted outputs, and report results for accuracy, and alert supervisor if an inconsistency or inaccuracy is discovered.
  • Work closely with BI analysts, data engineers, and other team members to support various Member BI projects.
  • Assist in the design and development of interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Databricks.
  • Conduct data exploration and preliminary analyses to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within member data.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data pipelines, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Assist with data engineering tasks such as preparing, cleaning, joining, and transforming source data to support repeatable reporting, dashboard development, and downstream analytics.
