Summer Assistant Educator
About The Position
The Williams College Children’s Center is hiring temporary assistant educators for Summer 2026! This role involves guiding and nurturing children from age six weeks to five years old, encouraging critical thinking and natural exploration. The position offers a supportive and collaborative environment within a program focused on early childhood education and time spent in nature. Summer Assistant Educators are essential members of classroom teams, providing support and coverage across multiple classrooms, and contributing to team planning. The role requires full participation in the positive sense of community at the Williams College Children’s Center.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or coursework in a related field.
- Successful background records check, including fingerprinting.
- Proof of immunity to MMR.
- Health physical within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities
- Support the nurturing care of children.
- Assist with curriculum and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Provide child guidance and support relationships among children.
- Provide support and coverage for multiple classrooms.
- Offer ideas and contributions to team planning and practice.
- Fully participate in the positive sense of community.
