Summer Assistant Educator
About The Position
The Williams College Children’s Center is seeking temporary assistant educators for Summer 2026. This role involves guiding and nurturing children aged six weeks to five years, encouraging critical thinking and exploration both in nature and in classrooms. Summer Assistant Educators will work 40 hours a week, rotating between classrooms as needed to support the nurturing care of children, curriculum implementation, developmentally appropriate practices, child guidance, and fostering positive relationships among children. They are integral members of each classroom team, providing support and coverage across multiple classrooms, and are encouraged to contribute ideas to team planning and practice. The Williams College Children’s Center offers a warm and inviting environment with state-of-the-art facilities designed specifically for early childhood education. This temporary, non-benefitted position runs from June 1, 2026, to August 21, 2026.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or course work in a related field
- Successful background records check, including fingerprinting
- Proof of immunity to MMR
- Health physical within the last 12 months
Responsibilities
- Work 40 hours a week in classrooms, on a rotating-basis where needed
