About The Position

Blackstone Data Science (“BXDS”) is the firm-wide team that uses AI and statistical methods to make us better investors and business operators, the first such team in private equity. Integrated into our investing groups, we focus on answering mission-critical investment and business questions using data science, statistics, programming, and machine learning techniques. We use financial data, alternative datasets, and analytical methods to develop a perspective on our investments and accelerate growth at our portfolio companies, as well as help source new investment and partnership opportunities. BXDS works hand-in-hand with Blackstone's deal teams and portfolio company management teams to underwrite investments, drive operating efficiencies, and identify new sources of value. We build scalable tools and technology that are integral to how we underwrite new deals and manage the portfolio, sitting at the intersection of quantitative and qualitative investment analysis with an explicit focus on projects that “move the needle.” You will have the opportunity to work directly with senior management at Blackstone as well as top executives from our portfolio companies. If you’re seeking stimulating quantitative work with clear, tangible business impact, BXDS may be a good fit for you. Blackstone's Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week in-person experience, offering participants extensive exposure across the firm. This program provides Summer Analysts with valuable guidance through mentorship, continuous feedback, technical and soft skill training, networking opportunities with professionals across the firm, and the unique chance to fully immerse themselves in Blackstone's culture.
