About The Position

TD Cowen, a division of TD Securities, offers an Investment Banking Summer Analyst internship focused on healthcare in San Francisco. The program provides hands-on experience with investment banking work and exposure to healthcare sectors including biotechnology, medical technology, and healthcare technology. Summer analysts participate in immersive orientation and technical training in financial analysis, accounting, and valuation, and work with a collaborative team to develop industry knowledge, client relationships, presentation materials, and financial models.

The role involves supporting investment banking activities, including financial modeling and analysis, valuation, company and industry research, preparation of marketing and client presentation materials, and execution of financing and M&A transactions. Analysts collaborate with teams across Corporate & Investment Banking and work in a fast-paced, challenging, and collaborative environment. This position is an internship with a 40-hour workweek and is based in San Francisco.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. For candidates relying on F-1 optional practical training, the degree must be in a qualifying STEM program, and the role is not suitable for individuals ineligible for a STEM OPT extension.

Responsibilities

• Participate in orientation and technical training focused on financial analysis, accounting, and valuation.
• Build and maintain complex financial models.
• Perform financial analyses and apply valuation tools to assess opportunities.
• Conduct comprehensive company and industry research.
• Draft external marketing materials and client pitch presentations.
• Support the execution of financing and M&A transactions.
• Collaborate with teams across Corporate & Investment Banking.
• Interact with internal and external groups and assist department management and staff with assigned tasks.
