About The Position

The Summer Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Related Fund Management credit team in evaluating and executing new and existing debt investments across the United States. The Summer Analyst will learn how to provide various forms of debt financing, structured as mezzanine loans and debt- like preferred equity, to sponsors of commercial real estate. This role involves learning to develop cash flow projections utilizing Argus and Excel software, performing financial analysis and due diligence for new and existing debt investments, and preparing Investment Committee memos outlining investment rationale, deal returns, and key execution risks. The analyst will also support asset management through review of quarterly reporting and loan compliance, participate on broker calls/meetings and property tours when available, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires working both independently and collaboratively with other teams within RFM.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate sophomore or junior with a target graduation date between December 2028-Spring 2029
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate Finance, Economics, or other related fields
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; expertise with excel
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of technical skills and job specific knowledge
  • Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Self-Starter with a proactive approach to tackling tasks and challenges
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to new challenged in a dynamic environment
  • Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA
