About The Position

The IT Digital Workplace Services Intern will support local site and end-user technology initiatives while gaining hands-on experience across IT operations, user support, workplace technologies, project coordination, and digital workplace services. Working under the guidance of experienced IT professionals, the intern will contribute to initiatives that enhance employee experience, technology adoption, and operational effectiveness. Students with experience following or executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documenting processes, and working in structured, customer-focused environments will excel in this role, as attention to detail, consistency, and adherence to established processes are key to success.

Requirements

  • Working experience in WAN, LAN topology and support
  • Working experience in Microsoft products
  • Ability to physically rack, stack IT equipment across multiple locations around the sites and able to walk long distances based on site location requirements.
  • In possession of a driver’s license (preferably having own car)
  • English (spoken and written) skills are required.
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Office/O365 Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project; Visio skills also preferred.
  • Working experience to install, configure and set-up workstations, servers, printers, locations, management meetings, projects and reviews.
  • Candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.
  • Candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day IT support activities, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and collaboration tool issues.
  • Support site IT projects and digital workplace initiatives through research, coordination, documentation, and testing activities.
  • Help track, prioritize, and follow up on support requests and project action items.
  • Participate in user experience and technology adoption activities, including collecting feedback and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, training materials, and process guides.
  • Assist with asset management, inventory tracking, and compliance-related activities.
  • Collaborate with IT subject matter experts to learn and support modern workplace technologies.
  • Support site events, office moves, equipment deployments, and technology refresh activities as needed.
  • Analyze operational data and prepare reports, dashboards, or presentations for the team.
  • Continuously learn new technologies and contribute ideas for process improvements.
