About The Position

A SUE Project Coordinator II performs administrative and technical services for Sub-Surface Utility Engineering projects by supporting Project Managers and staff with project administration, scheduling, financial processing, and technical administration.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3 years’ experience in Surveying, SUE locating, or Engineering required.
  • Requires basic understanding of technical specifications related to project deliverables.
  • Basic knowledge of laws and regulations affecting private vs. public rights of way, Sunshine 811, Maintenance of Traffic/Temporary Traffic Control, City, County, State, and other permitting requirements.
  • Experience with BlueBeam Revu or comparable Geomatics software such as ArcGIS, Google Earth, Survey123, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS systems, data reliability, and support of company resources related to GIS technology.
  • Experience opening drawings, computing closures, editing drawing information, creating minor drawings, plotting points, and importing and exporting data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • The ability to balance multiple work assignments at the same time.
  • The ability to work alone but also effectively as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record as determined by McKim & Creed.
  • To pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and technical support for Sub-Surface Utility Engineering (SUE) projects.
  • Support Project Managers and staff with project administration, scheduling, financial processing, and technical administration.
  • Assist with monitoring projects to ensure cost, timeframes, and the work performance meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Monitoring and order work supplies; schedule vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory of all field equipment and vehicles on a weekly basis.
  • Compile internal documentation and inspect deliverables for accuracy and correctness.
  • Provide permit modifications requests, 811 tickets, records requests, MOT, and start work notice supports.
  • Perform additional administrative and technical duties as assigned.
