About The Position
NorthCare Network is a Specialty Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP) located in Marquette, Michigan and is responsible for the management and service array available to residents of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with behavioral health needs covered by Michigan Medicaid and specialty grants for substance use disorder services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education or related Human Services field required.
- MCBAP Prevention Specialist Certification required or must be obtained within two years.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- Knowledge of substance use disorders preferred.
- Experience working with grant funding, training, data-driven decision making, coaching, and public speaking preferred.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing the annual substance use disorder prevention services plan for NorthCare Network, subject to Board review and approval.
- Overseeing the plan implementation for SUD prevention services for the region, working collaboratively with providers to coordinate services.
- Providing assistance with annual requests for quotation, review of submitted requests, evaluation of the submitted proposals, and with contract awards.
- Ongoing monitoring of SUD prevention services to ensure that regulatory standards are followed.
- Providing contract monitoring and technical assistance to contract agencies.
- Participating in state, regional, and local multi-agency collaborative bodies, meetings, and initiatives.
- Participating in the annual provider site review process and submitting required reports.
- Assisting with processing provider invoices and/or claims and related reports.
