About The Position

WSU Tech is seeking a TRIO Success Coach to join its Student Support Services team. The role guides TRIO program participants toward success in college and beyond by providing individualized support, workshops, and enrichment opportunities. The position is grant funded, pays $23.01 per hour, and is based at the South Campus. Some evening and weekend hours may be required, along with occasional travel to other campuses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new software.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in TRIO programs, student services, advising, or retention work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, career, personal, and transfer advising to TRIO participants.
• Lead workshops on topics such as financial literacy, study skills, and resume building.
• Assist students with FAFSA, scholarship searches, and connections to community resources.
• Coordinate cultural enrichment activities, university visits, and mentoring programs.
• Monitor student progress and connect students to campus and community resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for program compliance.
• Participate in recruitment and selection of program participants.
