About The Position

bp is seeking early career professionals for its One Subsurface Programme, designed to develop future subsurface leaders. This three-year program includes two 18-month rotations, with one rotation involving field experience. As a Geoscientist (Geologist or Geophysicist), you will work on integrated subsurface projects supporting exploration, appraisal, development, production, or technology initiatives. Positions are based in Houston, supporting various bp projects. The role involves interpreting subsurface data, applying seismic characterization techniques, developing structural and stratigraphic frameworks, and supporting well planning and operational activities. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and the application of digital technologies are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Geology, Geophysics, Geoscience, Earth Science or closely related discipline
  • Must be in final year, graduating from December 2026 through May 2027 or graduated in the last 3 years
  • Current Cumulative GPA Minimum 3.0
  • Must be available to start on agreed upon global programme start dates (January 19, 2027, or June 21, 2027).
