About The Position

The Substrates Business Capacity and Capability Lead will lead a high-impact team of engineers with responsibility for setting direction for supplier technical capability assessments and readiness plans to ensure execution against critical product, technology, and customer timelines. This role involves assessing the substrate supplier network's capacity, capability, scalability, and long-term readiness. The lead will partner across Intel organizations to define supply chain requirements aligned to Intel's product and foundry roadmaps, shape future capacity expansion plans, and drive supplier capacity expansion timelines, readiness checkpoints, and executive-level risk mitigation. The position requires maintaining visibility to supplier network capacity, investment needs, and readiness for emerging technical building blocks, as well as evaluating supplier investment requirements and collaborating to establish product cost, affordability, and price targets. A key aspect is building and sustaining strategic engagement with suppliers to maintain market intelligence, anticipate industry shifts, and advance Intel's leadership in substrate technology. The lead will serve as a senior interface with Intel Technology Development groups and business units to align supplier capacity, capability, and technology readiness to future product requirements, and provide strategic oversight of second- and third-tier suppliers for critical substrate bills of materials. Guiding material development for critical substrate materials, strengthening industry-wide supplier relationships to reduce business continuity risk, and ensuring business unit development milestones are achieved by leading supplier execution for test vehicle builds, new product introduction, and high-risk builds are also core responsibilities. The role sponsors substrate supplier engineering qualifications and partners with business units and customers to architect an affordable, resilient, and performance-enabling supply chain. This enterprise program leadership role combines technical depth, business judgment, ecosystem and market awareness, and disciplined execution, operating with a customer-first mindset in a senior customer-facing role requiring mature leadership, executive communication, and program management experience. Building trusted relationships and applying structured problem solving, sound judgment, and decisive leadership are essential.
