About The Position
The Substitute role is an on-call, as-needed position. Opportunities to substitute will vary depending on the absence of a teacher. Vanderbilt Charter Academy partners with communities to build and operate public charter schools. Our schools are designed to eliminate the achievement gap and provide school choice to families so their children are prepared for success in college, career, and life.
Requirements
- Must meet state requirements for being a Substitute.
Responsibilities
- Ability to execute a lesson plan that is assigned by the teacher.
- Provide clear instruction and assist scholars in understanding a subject matter while maintaining discipline and control of the classroom.
- Demonstrate moral focus and personal values to all stakeholders.
- Self-starter with effective classroom management skills, strong leadership, and a passion for educating students.
