About The Position

I Can Do That! Performing Arts Center is seeking experienced substitute Teaching Artists to teach children and teenagers ages 4 to 18 in its performing arts classes. Substitute teachers step into various teaching roles and work closely with experienced instructors to deliver engaging lessons that inspire creativity and foster a love of the performing arts. The role offers the potential for a part-time position starting in mid-January 2027. Fall and spring hours are 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, August through May.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with school-aged children or teenagers.
• Demonstrated ability to execute engaging lesson plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with children and families.
• Creative mindset and ability to adapt teaching methods to individual students’ needs.
• Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for fostering a love of theatre.

Nice To Haves

• Specialization in acting, improv, voice, or a combination of these areas.
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities
