About The Position

Kokua Education is seeking passionate individuals to become substitute teachers in Irving and the surrounding Dallas area for the 2026-27 school year. This part-time role offers the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn up to $135 per day, and make a significant impact on students' lives. As a substitute teacher, you will be a positive role model, sparking a love for learning and potentially opening doors to full-time opportunities at K-12 schools. Kokua Education provides support from 6 am to 8 pm daily and values the unique experiences and perspectives that diverse educators bring to the classroom.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience working with children in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
Completion of 48+ college credit hours.
Confidence in managing a classroom of students.
Willingness to step in where needed.
Ability to pass state & federal background checks (costs reimbursed after 10 assignments).
Belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.
