About The Position
Kokua Education is seeking passionate individuals to become substitute teachers in Irving and the surrounding Dallas area. This part-time role offers the flexibility to set your own schedule and make a significant impact on students' lives. You will be responsible for stepping into classrooms, delivering instruction, and providing support where needed, contributing to a positive learning environment. We are looking for individuals who believe in the potential of every child and are eager to become positive role models.
Requirements
- At least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
- Completed 48+ college credit hours.
- Confident in managing a classroom of students.
- Willing to step in where needed.
- Pass state & federal background checks.
- Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.

Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction in classrooms.
- Provide support where needed, including lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season.
- Manage a classroom of students.
- Step in where needed to fulfill classroom needs.
- Add representation by helping kids learn from unique experiences.
