About The Position

Christ the King Roman Catholic School is an academically rigorous, faith-filled community guided by the Gospel and Catholic faith. The Part-Time Substitute Teacher is a qualified professional who meets the requirements to substitute teach in a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Denver. The teacher is hired by and directly accountable to the principal, follows the policies and procedures of the local school, the Archdiocese of Denver, and the Office of Catholic Schools, and cooperates with the principal and staff to provide an environment that promotes Catholic education.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
• Meet the requirements to substitute teach in a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Denver.
• Comply with Archdiocese of Denver Safe Environment requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Proper licensure from the Colorado Department of Education is preferred. Acceptable licenses are a three-year substitute authorization, an Initial or Professional License, or a five-year substitute authorization.

Responsibilities

• Teach and act in accordance with the doctrinal and moral teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Know, teach, and act consistently with Christ the King School’s mission, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and secure learning and work environment, following established procedures to ensure the safety and welfare of students and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding school personnel, students, and general school matters.
• Perform teaching duties and other duties as assigned by the school.
