About The Position
Teachers Now is hiring Substitute Teachers to support K–12 schools throughout the Kansas City, Missouri area. This role offers a flexible job, extra income, a way to gain experience working with students, or an opportunity to explore a career in education. No teaching certification or college degree is required; a high school diploma or GED is sufficient. Paid training will be provided to prepare for the classroom.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in childcare, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth programs, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follow the teacher's lesson plans and classroom instructions.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and positive learning environment.
- Keep students engaged, encourage participation, and support classroom learning.
- Maintain classroom expectations and manage student behavior professionally.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and transitions.
- Communicate with school staff about classroom activities, student progress, and any concerns.
