About The Position
The Substitute Teacher provides classroom instruction and supervision when the regular teacher is absent. The substitute maintains a safe, respectful, and faith-centered learning environment while following the lesson plans, policies, and expectations of the school.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or in a classroom setting preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work positively with students, faculty, staff
- Able to support all grade levels
Responsibilities
- Follow the lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular teacher.
- Provide instruction and support students in completing assigned work.
- Maintain a positive, orderly, and respectful classroom environment.
- Supervise students and enforce school policies and classroom expectations.
- Support the Catholic identity and mission of the school through respectful conduct and interactions.
- Encourage students to demonstrate Christian values such as respect, compassion, honesty, responsibility, and service.
- Take attendance and communicate important classroom information to the regular teacher.
- Maintain appropriate classroom routines and procedures.
- Report significant student behavior, concerns, or incidents to the appropriate school administrator.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or school administration.
