About The Position

Kokua is seeking substitute teachers in D.C. for the 2025-26 school year. The role involves creating positive impacts in the community by connecting students with classroom role models. The position offers a flexible schedule, good working hours, and the autonomy to choose assignments and locations. Kokua has been connecting individuals to K-12 schools for over 13 years and operates across the D.C. area.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree or 60+ credit hours
1+ year(s) working with students
Confidence to manage a classroom of students
Ability to pass state & federal background check
Completion of required employment history review and SSOA training, in compliance with D.C. law
Strong belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world
